Can I download the flipbook as a software application?
No. Paperturn is completely web-based to ensure continuous quality and updates within the product.
Is Flash required?
No, not at all. Paperturn runs on HTML5.
I deleted my publication. Can it be restored?
Unfortunately not. To comply with data protection guidelines, flipbooks are completely deleted from our systems and servers as soon as you delete them.
When I purchase a flipbook, can I simply upload PDF files back into the same publication or overwrite them?
Yes. If you have multiple PDF files, you can overwrite the publication at any time and as often as you like. However, only one flipbook will be published online at a time. If you want to publish multiple flipbooks simultaneously, you will need to purchase additional slots.
How can I share my flipbook?
You can share your flipbook by embedding it on your website. You can also share it on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, or LinkedIn, or use it as an email signature to draw attention to it every time you send an email. Click here to learn more...
Can the flipbook be sent as an email attachment?
You can't send your flipbook as an email attachment. However, you can embed your flipbook directly into your email signature or add a link to your flipbook directly in the email body. If you then update or overwrite your flipbook, the old link or embedded code will automatically redirect to the new flipbook. Click here to learn more...
Is there a maximum number of pages my flipbook can have?
No. There's no limit to the number of pages your flipbook can contain.
How can I create my PDF file before uploading it to Paperturn?
Many of our customers use Canva to create their PDFs creatively before uploading them to Paperturn, which is why we always refer to Canva. Click here to create your PDF.
What is the maximum size of a PDF file that can be uploaded?
The maximum size of a PDF file is 512MB, regardless of the number of pages in your publication. You can request an increase in the maximum file size via email if absolutely necessary.
Can I print my flipbook?
Yes, you can print your flipbook. Simply follow these steps to print your flipbook:
1. Open the flipbook you want to print.
2. Press the "Print" button on the top toolbar.
3. Choose between the entire flipbook or specific pages.
Can I combine multiple PDF files into one file?
Paperturn doesn't offer this service. However, we recommend this website for merging two PDF files: http://www.pdfmerge.comTo merge more than 2 PDF files, we recommend this website: http://www.pdfsam.org/downloads
Can I upload PDF files in landscape format?
Paperturn supports almost all PDF formats and layouts; however, it's important that each page of your PDF file has the same width in landscape orientation. The optimal size for the best viewing experience on screens is 1300x1200 (per page) with standard aspect ratios of 16:9 and 16:10. Check out our manual to learn all about optimal uploading. 
Does Paperturn host my flipbooks?
Yes. Paperturn also automatically creates backups.
Can I use my own domain for a flipbook hosted on Paperturn?
Yes. To do this, set up a "domain forwarding" in your DNS settings and link to the flipbook's URL. Click here for step-by-step instructions.
How secure are my flipbooks when hosted on Paperturn?
Our website uses SSL encryption (https), and all our publications are hosted on Amazon servers (Amazon Cloud Services). This guarantees a reliable and high level of security.
Is SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) encryption possible when using CNAME?
Yes, if you use CNAME it is automatically SSL.
How can I track visits to my flipbook?
You can track your flipbook visits using Paperturn's built-in analytics or by connecting to Google Analytics 4. The built-in analytics provide a basic overview of all views, downloads, devices used, sources, countries, and clicks. For a more detailed, customizable overview of your flipbook analytics, we recommend connecting to Google Analytics 4/Tag Manager.
How can I drive more traffic to my digital flipbook?
Search engine optimization (SEO) is one way to drive more traffic to your digital flipbook. Optimizing your flipbook for SEO makes it easier for search engines like Google or Bing to find your publications. SEO optimization with a Paperturn flipbook is easy; you can optimize your entire flipbook with meta tags and keywords, or you can optimize each page individually.
What is a private publication?
A private publication cannot be shared on social networks. Access to it is only available to those you grant permission to.
Access to private publications can be granted in two ways:
1. Define a username-password combination and share it.
2. Specify the IP addresses through which access to the publication should be granted.

Can I protect my custom flipbook with a password?
Yes. You can create a password for your publication, restrict access to specified IP addresses, or do both. Click here for more information.
Can I prevent others from finding my flipbook through search engines (Google, Bing, etc.)?
Yes. You can disable this option via your flipbook settings. Click "Edit" in the Start menu and uncheck "Search engines."
How can I disable the option to download a PDF file?
Open your flipbook settings. Click "Edit" and uncheck "Allow offline."
Can I change the language in the flipbook viewer?
Yes, it's possible. You can view your digital flipbook in 14 different languages, making it easier to share and better target your international audience. Click here to see how to change the language in the viewer.
Can I personalize the URL of my flipbook?
Yes, it's possible. In fact, you can customize the URL of each individual flipbook. You can even customize the little icon that appears in the URL bar. Learn how to personalize your URL here.
Can I pin my flipbook to my home screen?
Yes, you can. Using Safari, Google Chrome, and Firefox browsers, both you and your viewers can save your online flipbook as a favicon to your home screen on Apple iPads, iPhones, and Android tablets and phones. Windows devices can also save flipbooks to their home screen using the Internet Explorer browser. Click here for more details.
Do the links contained in a PDF file transfer to Paperturn when that PDF file is uploaded to a flipbook?
In most cases, yes. Here are some tips to ensure accurate export of a PDF file with links:
1. Include "www." when writing a link.
2. Avoid typos – they cause broken links or may lead users to the wrong website.
3. If you are using Adobe InDesign, choose File > Export and save it as an Adobe PDF (Interactive) file.
4. The Adobe PDF (Interactive) format is used to save PDF files with InDesign interactivity, such as links, buttons, videos, and more.
5. If you are using Adobe InDesign and decide to export the file to an Adobe PDF (print), remember to insert hyperlinks.

Is it possible to add background music to my flipbook?
You have two options when it comes to adding sound to your flipbook:
- Insert background music that plays throughout the flipbook while it is being viewed
- Insert individual audio files on different pages (you can insert multiple audio files per page)
Where will my logo be located?
Your logo will be displayed when the publication loads. If you want the logo to be permanently visible behind your flipbook, you can create a background image with your logo and upload it to your user account.
How can I remove the Paperturn branding?
Paperturn branding is only available for Pro subscriptions. Neither our 14-day free trial nor our Basic subscription grants access to this feature.

Is it possible to add editable fields (address, name, etc.) to my flipbook?
Yes, with our new iFrame embedding feature, you can add all kinds of data forms to your flipbook! Click here to learn more about the iFrame embedding feature.
Can I collect email leads from my flipbook?
Yes, you can collect email leads by activating the lead capture form . A lead capture form is a form that requires the user to enter their information (such as name, email, or phone number) before they can view your flipbook. After collecting email leads, you can add them directly to your CRM/email marketing list via a downloadable .CSV file.
Is a single page view possible instead of a double page view?
Yes. You can customize how your flipbook is displayed. You can choose automatic display (Smart Display), single-page display, or double-page display. Automatic display (Smart Display) is the default setting. It offers the best display solution based on the reader's screen size and your flipbook's dimensions for improved readability.Single-page view always displays one page, regardless of device or browser size.
Double-page view always displays two pages, regardless of device or browser size. We do not recommend this setting for flipbooks designed for mobile viewing.
Can I distribute my books through Paperturn.com?
This feature is under development and is expected to be available in Q2 2023. For now, however, you can sell the link/password through your own platform. Learn more here .
