After every piece of food, every drop of sauce has been taken in. Elena brought her dishes to the
sink and helped Alma clean the kitchen.
TAP! TAP!
Someone was at the front door, composing a short, musical tap, ending with a rap one –two, like
from tap shoes.
Elena looked out the small door window and saw that it was a young man in gold metallic pants
and white t-shirt and gold slip-on shoes.
“Elena…”
“How did you know my name?” opening the door.
“I have a delivery for you – may I come in?”
Alma came straight behind her, pressing the door against him – almost closing it on him.
“Ple-e-e-e-e-a-a-se – can you let me in? I have an important shipment, a conveyance if you will.
Just for Elena.”
Something about his angelic presence allowed Alma to open the door.
This young man, a combination of dancer and artist, took Elena by her hand and twirled her two
times and gently placed her on the living room sofa.
“I bring you this important transmission,” doing a saute jump, gently taking out the envelop from
his metallic gold strap and beheld a glimmering golden envelop, with Elena’s name on it:
Elena Isabel Ortiz
“This is your first word,” instructing her how to open this special rare envelop.
“But who are you? Where did you come from?” asked Elena.
“Is this a joke? I will not have anything happen to my granddaughter,” remarked Alma.
“This is quite serious,” he commented with certainty.
“Why can’t you say who you are?” asked Alma.
