Flexibility
Adding Value
“Our team was in the initial stages of establishing an Enterprise GIS at the client’s site, when
one of the executives asked us to stop our work and perform a full financial and overall
review of all GIS systems. We accepted and performed a thorough investigation of a bundle
of short, long, thin and thick threads, spanning many departments. We sent surveys, ran
extracts, did interviews and wrote code to make sense of all the data (not something your
typical financial consultant would do). The result was enlightening for the client and the
direction presented in the report is still being followed today.”
“The Innodev team was engaged on a large integration project with a new client. During
the implementation phase, we suspected that there was a major design issue with the
product being integrated. The product vendor had a long-standing and strong relationship
with the client and disagreed with our assessment of the performance issue, dismissing our
feedback.
Change brings new ways to
help our customers
“From the growth and change Innodev are currently going through, I believe there will be an
exciting opportunity for Innodev to speak with new and existing customers about new and
different ways of solving business issues. I hope this will put Innodev in a position where we
can provide thought leadership and assist us to win more project work.”
After an internal discussion, Innodev provided an unsolicited proposal to the client to run an
experiment to validate if we could improve product performance. This approach had risks
as we were a new supplier to the client; however, we strongly believed it was the right thing
to do. The CIO supported our proposal, and the reluctant vendor was forced to co-operate
and assist with our experiment.
The outcome being, we proved our hypothesis and improved the performance of the system
from an overnight processing operation to a few seconds.”
