Determination to succeed
and deliver for the client
“I was involved in a project for a client where we assisted them to finish
performance and failover testing. The client had multiple failed attempts at
completing these tasks, after which we were approached to facilitate the
performance and failover testing on their behalf. I was involved right from
initial stages of the project. When our team started working on this project we
understood that it was not an easy road ahead. There was a lot of hesitation to
participate and contribute to the responsible vendors/stakeholders and it was
not easy to obtain agreement between them. We conducted individual and
combined workshops with all vendors to ensure we clearly understood the
issues. After many rounds of workshops, we finally managed to get their buyin to the process and willingness to contribute. Even though the environment
was highly political and fragile, I enjoyed working on this project and feel
proud for being part of the team responsible for assisting our client to reach
an important milestone.”
Strong relationships means
clients see Innodev as trusted
advisors
“When working at my client to implement an enterprise GIS solution, we built
a lasting relationship with the main stakeholders, where we went from being
a solution implementer to trusted advisors. As a result, I was engaged by
the client to review a support agreement between the GIS provider and the
client to ensure the arrangement would meet their current requirements and
that they would not be unduly penalised into the future as the use of the GIS
increased.”
Internet of Things (IoT)
Asset Management Project
“I was assigned to project manage the IT portion of an aggressively scheduled
IoT project utilising latest sensor technology. Part of the project included
collecting data utilising cloud technology. The project also included an
analytics platform for current and future analysis. The key objective was to
provide a solution with initial graphical, alerting and reporting capabilities, so
that the customer could learn from the data collected, and begin predictive/
preventative analysis. The project team successfully delivered by the due date;
something that many thought would not be possible. A fantastic achievement
by a dedicated and hardworking team of professionals”.
Thinking on your feet
“I was engaged by a client in the role of change management on
a project that was over schedule and budget. The project had
completed an extensive Training Needs Analysis, with vendordelivered eLearning modules incomplete and go-live only three
weeks away. To prepare the business for the new system, we
quickly actioned the nomination and engagement of business
champions and I facilitated system demonstrations on a weekly
basis leading up to go live. The activity identified end-user impacts
that had been overlooked and the project was able to address this
through functionality configuration, before going live.”
Putting the best interest
of the client first
“The intent of my engagement with the client was to receive
handover from a project manager and continue to undertake
implementation of an undelivered scope of work from an already
expended program. Working with the client’s best interests at
stake, I attempted to expose the client to the minimal return on
investment in delivering the proposed solution, this putting my
tenure and continued engagement in a compromised position.
The project was placed on hold pending a review and submission
to the company executive. I continued to work with the client in
ascertaining a monetary compensation and the credited provision
of managed services from the vendor/supplier. In the end, not only
did the client receive appropriate compensation, but they have
also progressed along the path of reviewing and remodelling the
intended solution architecture and business outcome. My initial
contract and engagement was extended and I am continuing to
deliver added value and service to the client.”
